The Healthy Coconut Water

If you were ship-wrecked on an island with nothing but your clothes on, how can you survive? Just look for a coconut, and you will live. Probably one of the most versatile plants around is the coconut. For most Southeast Asians and Pacific Islanders, the coconut plant has proven to be an all-around useful plant in meeting their day to day needs. With its wood and leaves, you can build a whole house for yourself. You can build a chair, a table, a bed and a broom. You can sew the leaves together to create a grass skirt. With its shell, you use it for cooking or burning wood. With its meat, you can eat it for food. With its juice, you can drink it for water.

Coconut water seems just that - coconut with water.

In fact, some studies have shown that people who are regularly eat coconut meat or drink coconut juice have fewer health problems and maladies. The reason being is that coconut also wards off illnesses by boosting one's immune system and slowing down the aging process, thereby preventing the development of age-related problems such as cataracts, wrinkles, and heart disease.

Going nuts over coconuts may be an exaggeration, but it is what people have been doing for centuries in order to spice up their lives.
